Last week we were flying high, love-drunk on summer and the false promise that the good times would never end. Now, it’s miserable outside (at least in Boston), with students successfully overtaking the city and the chilly rains delivering a sour crispness to the air that we are not ready to accept. As we wallow, the new LVL UP song “Spirit Was” is speaking directly to us.
The track, which you can hear below, is the third and latest single off the Upstate New York band’s upcoming LP, Return To Love, out September 23 on Sub Pop.
Tonight in New Jersey, LVL UP kick off a fairly extensive fall tour that finds them sharing stages with the likes of Alex G, Eskimeaux, Bear Vs Shark and others. The local date, by our watch, arrives September 20, when LVL UP play Great Scott in Allston, but there are a handful of other New England shows coming up as well.
