Dream Job Alert: Rock Cats and Cat Circus are seeking a tour assistant (yes, really)

Last summer the Rock Cats rolled into Arlington for a show at the Regent Theatre, and, well, let’s just say it wasn’t a total cat-astrophe. The band of furry felines were the opening act for the Acro-cats, the as-seen-on-TV Chicago crew of domestically-trained critters who “ride skateboards, ring bells, roll barrels, walk the high wire, climb ropes, push a shopping cart, jump through hoops, and even run a cat-size agility course.” Not to be outdone, the Rock Cats were a worthy warm-up act, playing their own instruments (kinda) and jamming out.

Now, according to a post on Craig’s List Chicago, the Cat Circus, the parent organization that runs the whole joint, is seeking a tour assistant.

Yes, it’s true — you can now tour the country with a band of musical cats and other magnificent kitties. But this is no back-alley gig. You’ll need to be able to manage the cats (and keep that nip off the tour bus, we imagine), run the merch, load in and out of each venue, and drive the 45-foot-long tour bus.
