Do Me Again: Bell Biv DeVoe are back with their first new song in 15 years

With all the nostalgic feelings thrown towards New Edition lately, including the development of a new BET biopic, it was only a matter of time before spinoff crew Bell Biv DeVoe got in on the comeback action.

Today, the Boston new jack swing trio return with a new song, “Run”, and it’s Bell Biv DeVoe’s first bit of new music in 15 years. Old school hip-hop and R&B permeates the track and video; it samples Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize”, teases the Grammy-nominated group’s breakout 1990 hit “Poison”, and was produced by EPMD’s Erick Sermon.

In addition to the new joint, Entertainment Weekly reports that Bell Biv DeVoe will release their fourth studio album, Three Stripes =, on January 27.

That’s a nice treat to combat those cold Boston winters.

Bell Biv DeVoe’s debut album Poison reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and sold four million copies here in the U.S. alone. Listen to “Run” below.
