Photo Gallery: Explosions In The Sky and Julianna Barwick live at the House of Blues in Boston

Editor's Note: Explosions In The Sky's latest album, The Wilderness, dropped earlier this year on April 1, but it was the furthest thing from any sort of joke. The veteran Austin post-rock band celebrated their seventh studio record with another collage of dramatic sound, a nine-track journey through experimental audio vision, and last night, brought it and all its relentless emotion to the House of Blues in Boston. Brooklyn's Julianna Barwick opened the show with her stylistic blend of loops and layers, completing a full program of exploratory sound that falls far from the mainstream but is still able to fill larger rooms. Vanyaland's Ben Stas was on Lansdowne Street last night to capture the images from the show; view his full gallery below.
