The 50th anniversary celebration of Pet Sounds has been granted an extension, as Brian Wilson has announced an additional 37 North American tour dates to honor the iconic Beach Boys album.
“There were so many cities on this great tour that myself, my band, Al, and Blondie just couldn’t get to playing,” says Wilson in a press release. “We’re performing more shows than ever before and the fans keep asking for more! It’s been a real trip so far and I’m happy that we’ll have the chance to reach so many people that weren’t able to catch our shows this year.”
Among those cities it seems Wilson couldn’t wait to get to were Massachusetts’ Lynn and Worcester. The North American leg of the Pet Sounds: The Final Performances tour comes to the Lynn Auditorium on April 29 (pre-sale begins Wednesday), and the following night plays Worcester’s Hanover Theatre (tickets on sale Friday).
