Dearly Beloved: This is the custom urn that enshrines Prince’s ashes at Paisley Park

Nearly six months after his death, Prince continues to wow us.

According to Stereogum, the custom urn that holds his ashes has been revealed, and it’s nothing short of incredible. The urn, which is currently on display at Paisley Park, showcases his symbol and the park’s facade, and the inside opens up to reveal the estate’s grand atrium, a purple Yamaha piano, and ornamental white doves. Parts of it lights up.

The urn was designed by a company called Foreverence, which also created custom urns for Lemmy and Scott Weiland (we bet business has been good over these miserable past 12 months). Prince’s urn was designed “with input from Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson and nephew President Nelson,” writes the ‘Gum.

Paisley Park in Minnesota was recently re-opened as a museum.
