Whenever we find ourselves at a karaoke bar (RIP Allston’s Do Re Mi), we zero in on two songs before we even take our first swig of whatever demon juice we snuck in: Kelly Clarkson’s 2000s forever-pop banger “Since U Been Gone” and Sia’s modern epic “Chandelier.”
The two tracks require some powerful vocals, and we’ve always wondered what one singer would sound like performing the other’s song. We don’t know if Sia ever took a shot at “Since U Been Gone”, but over the weekend, Clarkson took to Facebook Live from Tennessee to swing herself from our favorite “Chandelier”. There was even a blonde wig involved, because it’s Halloween and of course there was.
Well hot damn.
“I don’t know how she does this, ’cause, y’know, you can’t see,” Clarkson says after her impromptu performance. “But it’s also kind of awesome, because you’re in your own little world when you’re performing.” She goes on to hype her upcoming Miracle on Broadway show, Clarkson’s annual Christmas concert in Nashville.
