For the past decade, Boston’s post-glam heroes the Daily Pravda have been saluting David Bowie on stages all across New England. Tonight at Atwood’s Tavern, they do it again in this post-Halloween landscape, only this time with a pint of Oxbow in their glittery paws.
The Cambridge venue is hosting Oxbow Beer Night, a night celebrating Oxbow’s latest creation: a farmhouse brew straight from Maine called BOWIE. The Daily Pravda will be performing a selection of Bowie covers, and DJ Panda gets it started with a set of ’80s pop, rock, and punk. In addition to the Thin White Drink, Oxbow is also unveiling a new brew titled Moon Rocks, which takes its name from a Talking Heads song — so expect a bit of the New York band’s sounds to be sprinkled in throughout the night as well.
But hey, since this is Pravda we’re talking about, expect the late, great Bowie to dominate the festivities. The band asks: “Will this be our night of Labyrinth and Tin Machines covers [or] a shot for shot re-enactment of Dancing in the Street?” We shall soon find out.

Go on, be an alligator.
