Near to the Wild Heart of Earth: Japandroids announce North American and European tour

When Japandroids released sophomore album Celebration Rock back in 2012, the Vancouver duo’s promotional tour ran from March 2012 to November 2013, stretching out for more than 200 shows across 40 countries.

Now, as they prepare for the January release of new album Near to the Wild Heart of Life, guitarist/vocalist Brian King and drummer/vocalist David Prowse are preparing for another few lengthy trips around our good Earth. This morning, they revealed the first leg of the Near to the Wild Heart of Life tour, a 35-date through North America and Europe that includes a February 20 date at Royale in Boston.

Tickets to the local show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Bowery Boston. Craig Finn of the Hold Steady will be opening.
