Vanyaland expands, rebrands, and sharpens its voice as Boston’s leading alternative digital media company

Hello reader,

Welcome to our grandest and most ambitious expansion and renovation to date: a brand new Vanyaland arriving this morning.

In the three years since our launch we have covered the Boston music scene like no other digital media company before us, combining 24/7 breaking news with commentary, profiles, interviews, showcases, events, premieres, reviews, collaborations, and even pool parties. It’s no surprise we were last summer named the 76th most influential music website in the world by Style of Sound.

Now, it’s time for us to broaden our reach and scope.

Beginning this week, the newly redesigned Vanyaland.com will expand to include six new sections: Comedy, Film/TV, Sports, Fashion, Food/Drink, and Community (or as we like to call it, V:Com; a public bulletin board where any group or organization can have their business, news, or events promoted).

In addition to our award-winning music coverage, which will remain as aggressive and focused as ever, the new Vanyaland strives to become a city-wide voice as the leading alternative media company in Boston, combining journalism and events like no other. We feel like this city needs it.

At the start, the expanded Vanyaland will be news-driven; rapid-fire blasts of current happenings and reactions to both local occurrences and global events. And we’ll continue to be the number one source for breaking music news in New England.

Since our launch in 2013, our tagline has been “Made in Boston. For the World.” And our new sections reflect that attitude, with greater ambitions.

Believe in Boston,
The Vanyaland team
