Dropping In: Bearstronaut countdown to ‘New Year’s (Or Never)’ in support of the ACLU

We’re only a few short days away from Christmas, but Bearstronaut, like any decent pop group, are already looking ahead to New Year’s Eve. This week, the Boston band, fresh off their win as Electronic Artist of the Year in the 2016 Boston Music Awards, have released a new holiday single that sashays past the jingle bells and heads straight for the ball drop.

The tropical, upbeat track is titled “New Year’s (Or Never)”, and proceeds from Bandcamp downloads will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union. The b-side is a holiday jazz piano version of recent single “Gold”, which features the talents of That One Eyed Kid.

Camp Bearstro writes: “We’re so excited to release ‘New Year’s (Or Never)’ today as our first ever holiday song! We’re also thrilled to say that we will be donating 100 percent of the earnings from this song specifically to the ACLU. We’ll be hosting the track here on Bandcamp through December 31, so please check out the song and purchase to donate to a truly great cause! Thank you for your support and happy holidays!”

Bearstronaut’s debut album, Telecoast, dropped earlier this year, and you can score downloading means for your holiday pleasures right over here.
