Chairlift announce final shows, including an April stop at Brighton Music Hall

A few weeks ago, Colorado-born, Brooklyn-based electronic-pop duo Chairlift announced they were breaking up after 10 years as a band, with Caroline Polachek to carry on a solo artist while Patrick Wimberly would go on to work more in production.

They also promised one last Chairlift tour, and have made good on their promise. Yesterday the duo revealed their “final shows,” a seven date cross-country spring trek that comes to Brighton Music Hall in Allston on April 20. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Chairlift’s third and most recent studio album, Moth, was released in January of last year via Columbia Records. They had a string of indie hits dating back to 2006, though our favorite work of theirs remains 2012 single “I Belong In Your Arms.” Listen to it and check out details on all their farewell dates below.
