Maybe the best thing about Boston hip-hop duo STL GLD is that their name tells all you need to know. There’s no fade, no rust, no dim, no fatigue. The shit is still gold; it always was, currently is, and always will be.

This morning, the Moe Pope and The Arcitype collaboration — who together have more Boston Music Awards than could fit on your mantle above the fireplace in your childhood home your parents just sold for pennies on the dollar — dropped the first visual and single off their upcoming sophomore album. The track is called “Wild Style,” and it features Moe’s effortless technique and magnetic bars while the Arcitype hammers down a banger of a beat. Christopher Talken and GaJah provided added vocals, and the whole thing swirls like the police siren running around your head.

This is the sound of Moe and Arcitype going for the throat.

“Wild Style” is the start of our introduction to their new LP Torch Song, out February 17 on AR Classic Records with a release party that night at the Middle East in Cambridge. Crash the stage, loop the siren, and hit play on the colorful video embed below.
