The Los Angeles-based Tayeb has been compared to everyone from PJ Harvey to Shirley Manson, and her recent single “Subservient” is all sorts of awesome, a seductive mix of sinister ’90s alt-rock and modernized world music sounds. Last night Tayeb thrilled a packed house, and Vanyaland’s Matthew Shelter was in the room to capture some images from the show, as well as of homegrown openers Analog Heart.
