Julian Edelman channels Ryan Gosling in ‘Drive’ ad parody for Prime Motor Group

Ever since “The Catch,” Julian Edelman has been all over the place, from Super Bowl victory parades to appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to working in his own imaginary seafood shop.

Now, he’s taking to the streets of Boston in an incredible new ad for the Westwood-based Prime Motor Group.

In the spot, the New England Patriots wide receiver channels Ryan Gosling and the cult-classic 2011 film Drive, showcasing an aerial view of Boston’s skyline at night, much like the movie’s opening Los Angeles-based credits, as a synth soundtrack blazes across the screen (we guess the original song, Kavinsky’s “Nightcall”, was too expensive to include).

We’re not sure what we love more here — the squirrel replacing the scorpion on the back of his jacket, the Gosling pose in the car (we bet he’ll give us more than five minutes), or the hot pink mistral font, made famous by both the film and this website’s OG logo.

Holy shit.
