Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Earlier this week we learned that emo dudes Modern Baseball cancelled all their upcoming tour dates, including an appearance at Memorial Day weekend’s Boston Calling Music Festival.

Organizers of the fest have acted fast to replace the Philly band, and they didn’t look too far from our own backyard, adding Massachusetts metalcore crew Converge to the bill.

Yowza.

Converge join an increased collection of homegrown talent at this year’s Boston Calling, its first at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston. Also appearing over the course of the May 26 to 28 holiday weekend are Buffalo Tom, Cousin Stizz, Piebald, Vundabar, and The Hotelier.

The festival is headlined by Tool, Chance The Rapper, and Mumford & Sons, and also features The xx, Bon Iver, Weezer, Major Lazer, Run The Jewels, Solange, Pup, Sigur Ros, and others. Peep the full lineup below.
