Hardcore Is Still Alive: Mogwai announce world tour, return to Boston this December

The year 2017 is bookended by Mogwai.

The Scottish post-rock band were just here playing Atomic at Berklee Performance Center back in January, and now they’ll return to Boston for a December 7 gig at Royale in the Theatre District. Tickets go on sale Friday (March 24) at 10 a.m.

The new show is part of what Mogwai are calling an “extensive world tour” which kicks off in September and takes the lads across Europe and North America.

Things kick off on our side of the Atlantic in San Diego on November 20, and wrap December 10 in Washington D.C. before the band wraps up the year with two gigs in the United Kingdom.

Get appropriately caught up with Mogwai’s new nine-minute promo video, which announced the tour this morning, and scan through all the dates after the jump.
