Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

The Zombies have cancelled tonight’s show at the Wilbur Theatre as frontman Colin Blunstone has been diagnosed with a “severe bacterial infection.”

The band made the announcement moments ago via Facebook, less than three hours before the 8 p.m. door time.

The Zombies write: “We’re very sorry to inform you that tonight’s show at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston is cancelled. Unfortunately, The Zombies’ lead singer Colin Blunstone was diagnosed with a severe bacterial infection this afternoon. Colin and the band are heartbroken to disappoint fans in Boston, but he remains confident that after a couple days recovery, he’ll be ready to sing his heart out for fans in Ridgefield, CT and Northampton, MA later this week!”

The British psych-pop legends were in town for the latest stop on their ongoing “Odessey and Oracle 50th Anniversary” tour. The next date on their schedule is Thursday (March 30) at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
