Earlier this week psych-pop legends The Zombies cancelled two New England dates after frontman Colin Blunstone suffered a “severe bacterial infection“, and now those dates have been rescheduled.

The Zombies will perform make-up dates May 8 at The Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut, and and May 9 at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston. The band has also rescheduled their gig tonight at The Calvin Theatre in Northampton as the threat of a snowstorm moves in, and that show will go on May 10.

“We are very pleased to report that Colin Blunstone is recovering rapidly from the bacterial infection that forced the postponement of our shows in Boston, MA and Ridgefield, CT this week,” the band writes.

“In order to ensure his full recovery, and in light of the severe weather forecast, we are also postponing this Friday’s show at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, MA. Fortunately, the venues were kind enough to work with us to reschedule these shows for the fans. The new dates will be:

May 8, 2017: The Ridgefield Playhouse Ridgefield, CT
May 9, 2017: The Wilbur Theatre Boston, MA
May 10, 2017: The Calvin Theatre Northampton, MA

“We truly regret the inconvenience and disappointment this has caused our fans in New England, and hope you can still join us at the new dates in May. Colin is touched by the outpouring of support, and looks forward to returning to the stage on Saturday, April 1st at The National in Montreal, Quebec.”

Word is that Blunstone recieved treatment for his infection at Mass General Hospital in Boston. The Zombies were in town for the latest stop on their ongoing “Odessey and Oracle 50th Anniversary” tour.
