Last month we connected with New England guitar-rock trio Weakened Friends for our South By Southwest party with Berklee. On the road down, like many of us, Weakened Friends hit a bit of turbulence thanks to Winter Storm Stella, and if it wasn’t for a handful of Trader Joe’s chips, as Sonia Sturino explains, things could have gotten hairy.
But the band has survived, and created a short tour video to hype some upcoming homecoming gigs, including shows tomorrow night (April 5) at Great Scott in Allston and Friday (April 7) in Bangor, Maine. The video, which you can watch via YouTube, also features a peek at a new Weakened Friends song titled “Hate Mail,” one of two new songs they’re putting out on a Record Store Day tape split with New Jersey’s Well Wisher.
