Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

So apparently Gucci Mane was set to kick off his North American “Trap God” tour tonight at the House of Blues in Boston — except he never showed up and the show was cancelled. Frustrated fans took to Twitter to voice displeasure with the sudden decision, which came down around 9:30 p.m. — about 90 minutes after doors had opened, a few openers performed, and the Lansdowne Street club was filled to capacity.

Who knows what the deal is, and we’ll post more information as it comes. Some are saying Gucci never even made it to Boston tonight, while others are saying he was seen at the TD Garden for the Celtics game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as an invited guest of LeBron James’.

But those are just rumors.

UPDATE 11:02 p.m.: Gucci has tweeted, and writes that the cancellation is due to travel delays from Atlanta. “Flash flood and tornado.” The show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 11.

He might still make it to his scheduled after-show appearance at Bijou, we have no idea.

Of course, it didn’t take long for Bostonians to remind the Atlanta rapper that his hometown Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl LI against the New England Patriots.

Gucci’s next show — if he makes it — is tomorrow (April 6) somewhere in Connecticut.
