New Sounds: Gang Of Youths ask what we are all thinking in ‘What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out’

Gang Of Youths might be the next best thing go come out of Australia. The guitar-rock crew remind us of all that was good about aughts-era rock and roll, and today have announced their North American tour in conjunction with a new video for “What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out.”

The sparkling track falls somewhere between the glimmering post-punk excess of early Editors and the indie rock intelligence of Cold War Kids, and the animated video somehow manages to keep up with the song. We’re feeling the fuck out of it.

Gang Of Youths summer tour kicks off June 2 in Philadelphia and wraps June 15 in at The Echo in Ls Angeles. The second stop on their 10-date coast-to-coast run is a June 3 show at Great Scott in Allston. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
