Osaka To Fenway: Shonen Knife are playing a free show at Hojoko this Monday

Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

They’ve only been having rock shows at Hojoko in the Fenway for a few shorts months, but we can already cite several highlights — Stars Like Ours at the Girls Rock Campaign Boston fundraiser in September, Salem Wolves at the Boston Music Awards nomination party in December, and Party Bois at the 617 Sessions launch a few weeks ago.

This Monday (April 24), the Japanese tavern welcomes perhaps its first touring band as Shonen Knife kick off their “Ramen Adventure Tour” with a show that’s free with RSVP.

“We can’t wait to come to visit the United States once again for the Shonen Knife 2017 Ramen Adventure,” says Naoko Yamano in the promo video below. “Please join us and let’s rock together!”

But first, you gotta RSVP, and you can do so via We’re required to inform you that “RSVP does not guarantee admittance,” so be sure to roll up early. The party starts at 8 p.m.
