Pennywise gets some face time in the new trailer for Stephen King’s ‘It’

Another quick trailer for the remake of Stephen King’s It dropped late last night during the MTV Movie Awards, and we know you probably didn’t watch that shit, so we’ve got it for you here. It’s not as flashy as the first preview, but you do actually get to see Pennywise in it, so you give and you take, we guess.

This new trailer is a really nice little look at the members of the Losers’ Club and their day-to-day lives, with only the slightest hint right at the end as to the bad shit that’s going to happen to them later on in the movie. It’s definitely not going to abate the concerns of those who think it’s aping the classic Amblin vibe (it was fashionable for King fans to trash those who said the first trailer looked like Stranger Things, which is a criticism that isn’t too far off base), but for those who don’t mind that, it’s looking pretty cool. We still miss Tim Curry, though.

Here’s a synopsis: “When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, neighborhood kids band together to square off against Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård), an evil clown whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.”

It hits theaters on September 8. Take a look at the trailer below:
