Editor's Note: Sometimes an old friend suddenly shows up in your city, and even on a rainy Monday night, those good times from the past come flashing back over drinks at a joint down in the Theatre District. Last night at Royale, French electronic-pop group Air returned to Boston, fresh off a showing at Governors Ball in New York City and at the jump of their first stateside tour in seven years. And it was if Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin never left, offering a nuanced selection of their 20 years in music tilted slightly in the direction of 1998's Moon Safari and 2004's Talkie Walkie.
