What Studio 52 Says: As one of Boston’s top electronic acts, Bearstronaut do what they do well. It seems like you can’t find any lists of electronic bands in the area without seeing their names praised. They’re definitely no strangers to the Boston Music Awards, either, where they’ve been nabbing consistent nominations since 2008 — winning Electronic Artist of the Year in 2013, 2015, and again last year in 2016. They’ve been hard at work bringing their dance-happy synth-pop to the masses after self-releasing their first full-length entitled Telecoast last year. Their live shows are as energetic as it gets, and it’s hard not to move along with the band as they lay out their thick bass grooves and upbeat, warm vocal hooks. Their songs have the same momentum on the beach in the summer as they do during a typical Bearstronaut show — a sweaty club in the city during the middle of winter. They don’t downplay their love to have fun, and that’s why they deserve all the accolades they receive. Share in the fun this Sunday (June 11) when Bearstronaut splits the bill with the legendary !!!
