There were many things to love about last month’s expanded and recharged Boston Calling Music Festival, but one of our favorite aspects was the enhanced representation of homegrown music. Thousands of people at the Harvard Athletic Grounds were tipped off to the new sounds of Vudabar, Cousin Stizz, and The Hotelier, while Massachusetts veterans like Converge, Buffalo Tom, and Piebald also held court in choice mid-day slots.

Those last two bands took the time at Boston Calling to sit down with Delta for the airlines’ “Boston Born and Bred” series, which traces both Piebald and Buffalo Tom’s roots in the city’s music scene.

Both clips are short and sweet, but there’s a lot of cool info and tidbits packed into each. Watch them below, and revisit all our 2017 Boston Calling coverage.

Here’s Piebald, talking shop and shooting arrows:

And here’s Buffalo Tom, whose Let Me Come Over 25th anniversary celebration comes to Royale on September 9.
