A Perfect Circle announce fall North American tour, will play Agganis in November

We do not know if we will be getting a new album from A Perfect Circle in 2017.

But we know this: We will be getting a tour from A Perfect Circle in 2017.

Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel’s alt-rock band — whose current lineup also features Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha alongside Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl — announced a 28-North American tour that starts October 21 in Sacramento and wraps December 4 in Eugene, Oregon.

Early-ish in the run are three New England dates of particular interest among us in the Great Northeast: November 5 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut; November 8 at Boston’s Agganis Arena; and November 10 at Cross Insurance Center in Portland, Maine.

“We did say we’d see you again soon, right?” the band asks on Facebook. “Tickets for all non-festival dates on-sale this Friday at 10 am local time.

A Perfect Circle have released three studio albums, but none since 2004’s covers LP Emotive. Exclaim reports the band signed a deal with BMG, so more music may be on the way by the time they come to our town.
