Don’t call it a comeback, yeah yeah yeah.

The 2017 renaissance of LCD Soundsystem has shifted into overdrive, as this morning James Murphy and crew have detailed a new album called American Dream. It’s the follow-up to 2010’s This Is Happening, and it’s due September 1 via Columbia/DFA. As if that wasn’t enough LCD news for one news cycle, the New York electronic rock titans have also announced a tour itinerary that finds them in Europe come September and then in North America for the rest of the year.

Thankfully on the latter, Boston gets some love just as the holidaze set in, as LCD Soundsystem will play Agganis Arena on December 8 (ticket on-sale info should go public later today). After that show, LCD will play a whopping 10 nights at Brooklyn Steel in NYC, the new Bowery venue where they are currently in the middle of a spring residency.

As SPIN notes, American Dream will feature 10 songs, including recent releases “American Dream” and “Call the Police.” LCD played those two tracks last month on Saturday Night Live.
