One of the more pleasant developments of 2017 has been the reemergence of Phoenix back into our lives. In June the French pop group returned after four years with new album Ti Amo, and songs like “J-Boy” and the title track have reestablished Thomas Mars and company as one of our era’s finest bands.
This fall, they’ll be getting even closer to us, as after a few festival dates and European shows, will hit North America for six dates, including two in New England: October 15 at New Haven’s College Street Music Hall in Connecticut, and October 18 at Providence’s Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Rhode Island.
Both are pretty road-trip worthy destinations for the Boston crowd, as long as you have the Pet Shop Boys-flavored “J-Boy” on repeat in the car all the way down I-95. Listen to it below, and peep all Phoenix’s upcoming shows, both here and abroad, after the video jump.
