Photo Gallery: Mew and Monakr live at The Sinclair in Cambridge

Editor's Note: They've been in the game for more than two decades, but Mew have remained a relative enigma here in America. It's crazy to think it's been more than 10 years since the Danish band crashed literally everyone's playlist (at least the ones of everyone we knew) with "The Zookeeper's Boy," off 2005 breakout LP And the Glass Handed Kites, and in the years since the trio have maintained a cult following while pretty much perfecting their experimental, art-kissed alt-rock. Back in April they released a seventh studio album in Visuals, and last night (August 8) brought it in sound and theory to Cambridge rock club The Sinclair. Vanyaland's Eddy Leiva was in the front, on the side, in the balcony and all over the Harvard Square venue capturing, umm... visuals, and you can view his full gallery of Mew and Chicago-based electronic-pop openers Monakr below.
