1987 Week: Vintage show listings, ads, and other stuff from the David Bieber Archives

This week on Vanyaland we are celebrating all things 1987 with a look back at moments, trends, and icons in the worlds of music and film. Follow along #V87.

Editor's Note: Over the past few days we've been celebrating 1987 Week here at Vanyaland, a new multi-media series that takes a look back at the Boston and beyond of 30 years ago. In addition to our profiles on Harmonic Convergence and Whitney Houston, Pixies, Superman IV, Eric B. & Rakim, Tower Records, Over The Top, Hüsker Dü, Phish, King Diamond, Leonard Part 6, and other posts, we've also been peppering our twitter and Facebook pages with vintage press clips from The David Bieber Archives. These clips include show and movie listings, business ads, newspaper covers, and other stuff graciously offered up by the David Bieber Archives, and they provide a cool and intriguing look back into the Boston arts landscape of 1987. Below is a loose gallery of those ads, in no particular order, including pages of the Boston Phoenix, the Noise, Suburban Voice, and more.
