It’s been roughly 16 years since Broken Lizard’s Super Troopers hit the screen, and after a lengthy crowd-funding campaign and some radio silence from the troupe, we have our first teaser trailer for its sequel, Super Troopers 2. Yes, that’s right: There were enough heroes out there in the country who wanted a sequel to this that they got out their wallets and ensured we could get more locker-room hijinks and meow-puns (editor’s note: sorry for the headline pretty much every website will publish today). Brian Cox is back, even!

Take a look at the red-band trailer for yourself (that means it’s NSFW, people):

Well, it’s roughly a minute long, so there’s not too much to write home about. Someone, somewhere, really wanted this movie, and we’re so glad they’re going to be able to get it when it hits. Seriously! We can’t even really remember what happens in it aside from the “meow” puns (given that we saw it on Comedy Central for the first time in its hyper-edited form back in the mid-aughts, it might be a little more forgettable to us than to, say, somebody who bought a ticket opening night with their streaked highlights and faux-ley shades), but we’re glad that a bunch of people are going to have something cool back in their lives.

Here’s a synopsis:

“Everyone’s favorite law enforcement team is back by popular demand with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic… ‘Super Troopers’. When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers–Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit, and Farva–are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the disputed area. Unconventional police work follows, and the result is…’Super Troopers 2.’

Super Troopers 2 hits theaters April 20 (lol).
