Year In ReView: Our favorite live music photographs of 2017

At any point during a live show around Boston in 2017, it was likely you would see a Vanyaland photographer down in the pit shooting it. You'd then see that photographer up in the balcony, out in the crowd, off to the side, and everywhere else the venue would allow. That snapshot represents the year as a whole: Vanyaland's photography crew was all over the city, shooting both homegrown and touring bands as they filled stages with sound. Choosing our favorite images across more than 100 galleries from 10 photographers was no easy task, but below is a sampling of some of our favorites. The Vanyaland photo crew is some of the hardest working people in the game, capturing the passion of music and portraying our city's music scene like no other. Included here is the work of our intrepid team -- Tim Bugbee, Kit Castagne, Cara DiFabio, McKayla Earley, Greg Gaffney, Maria Alejandra Mata, Scott Murry, Matthew Shelter, Ben Stas, and the late, great Eddy Leiva. Relive the year that was.
