Dreams Every Night: Alvvays announce 2018 tours of Europe and North America

One of the more satisfying subplots to all these crazy music festival lineup announcements has been seeing Alvvays show up on more posters than not. The Toronto guitar-rock band are playing a decent amount of fests this spring and summer, including Coachella, Shaky Knees, Governor’s Ball, and our very own Boston Calling.

That last one is relevant to our interests here in New England for two reasons: One, it’ll be great to hear songs like “In Undertow” and “Archie, Marry Me” out in the middle of the Harvard Athletic Complex at some mid-afternoon point of Memorial Day weekend, and two, their swing up to the Northeast has given us two more chances to see the band, both in a non-festival setting.

Among the final dates on Alvvays’ rather extensive upcoming tours of Europe and North America are a pair of northern New England shows: May 29 at Portland’s Port City Music Hall and May 30 at Higher Ground Ballroom in Burlington, Vermont. Both shows are with Frankie Rose, so you know they’re extra special.
