Photo Gallery: Passion Pit and slenderbodies live at The House of Blues

Editor’s Note: From Great Scott to The Lawn On D, it’s hard to find a Boston stage on which Passion Pit have not jammed out. The homegrown and massively influential electronic-pop project led by Michael Angelakos last year dropped their forth studio album Tremendous Sea of Love, and this past Friday night (January 12) swung by The House of Blues to remind us just what the fuss was all about. And like any proper Passion Pit show, it was a straight-up party soundtracked by a healthy amount of certified jams, from late-aughts breakout banger “Sleepyhead” to later joints like “Lifted Up (1985)” and “Where the Sky Hangs.” The Lansdowne club got elevated to the tune(s) of “Take A Walk” and “Little Secrets,” and Ben Stas was in the middle of it all capturing snaps of both the Pit and California indie-pop duo slenderbodies.
