Fast Tracked: Cane Hill deliver calculated fury on ‘Lord of Flies’

Cane Hill may have just released their newest album, Too Far Gone, this past Friday (January 19), but by no means does that title represent their talent. While the NOLA hardcore metal quartet has unleashed a whole fresh batch of bangers that are sure to get the blood pumping and the pit swirling, the riff that prefaces “Lord of Flies” stands out, and to say that the track refuses to quit for it’s three minutes of metal goodness is a gross understatement. With a blend of musical influences like Slipknot and Megadeth making themselves known on the track, Cane Hill have created a product uniquely theirs, and, to put the cherry on top, they will be performing a few of the new tracks, including this one, when they take the stage at The Paradise Rock Club on February 16 in support of Of Mice & Men. It can be tough to get warm during a January in New England, but Cane Hill have brought straight fire with their sophomore effort — so gather round the flames and get ready to throw down.
