Step aside, Pharrell earworm “Happy” — X Ambassadors are revving up for a new album, starting with the release of new tune “Joyful,” the title track of said forthcoming record, and a new batch of spring tour dates.
Following up on the success of their previous balled “Unsteady,” “Joyful” presents a turn into gospel for the Ithaca alt-rock outfit, who kick off their spring tour in Raleigh, North Carolina, in April, and wrap things up a month later at Stubb’s BBQ in Austin, Texas. Supporting acts in tow range from date to date, tacking on Vanyaland favorites like SHAED and Mondo Cozmo, as well as Son Little, Misterwives, Jacob Banks, Allan Rayman, and The Aces.
While there’s sadly no new Boston date in the spring 2018 lineup, the band does hit up the House of Blues on their current tour, February 18 with Now, Now.
