Take a glance at the new promo photo for Girlpool’s tune “Picturesong” and you’ll see a new side of the L.A. group — namely, a The-Cure-Camped-Out-In-A-Barn side. Offering up a more gothic folk facet to their punk-based repertoire, “Picturesong” manages to drive Girlpool forward with emotional guitar licks while managing a languid two-step to Cleo Tucker and Harmony Tividad’s haunting vocals.
