Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

On Aerosmith’s 1987 hit “Dude (Looks Like a Lady)”, the great rock and roll poet Steven Tyler famously sang: “Never judge a book by its cover/Or who you gonna love by your lover/Love put me wise to her love in disguise/She had the body of a Venus, Lord imagine my surprise.”

Those lyrics are bouncing around in our heads this afternoon as we present this very lifelike Steven Tyler mannequin that is allegedly for sale via Boston craigslist. It’s only the upper half of the mannequin, though we suppose that filling out the rest shouldn’t be as difficult as perfecting what’s north of the nipple.

“Steven Tyler is done riding w/ me Who is Next, Steven Tyler full size Mannequin Top only,” reads the craigslist post, answering none of the questions we all suddenly have. “[G]reat item for cave man display, or for pictures taking. Could use a little TLC on the makeup and add your own shirt.”

The seller, based in Maynard, is looking for a cool $125 — “or Best Offer.”

Details on how to purchase are in the craigslist post, but the seller also lists his or her Etsy page, and we’ll link it here in case Joe Perry’s mannequin ever shows up on it.

Check out the Tyler mannequin below, and no, we don’t know why it’s riding in a car (enter joke about it “never wanting to miss a thing” at your own peril).
