It was around this time last year when we lamented the lack of a Massachusetts date on Depeche Mode’s fall Global Spirit Tour. It was a bummer, but it did inspire one of our favorite headlines ever, No Music For The Massachusetts. The closest Dave Gahan and the boys came to our fair city was a date at Mohegan Sun, and well, you knowhow we all feel about having to go to Connecticut for anything.
This morning we’re greeted with better news, as Depeche Mode are set to play Boston’s TD Garden on June 9.
We first caught wind of the show as first teased by the band’s Facebook page, which posted a few North American itinerary dates, but it has now been confirmed with all sorts of official word.

Since this is a Depeche Mode show, the fan pre-sale stuff is fairly intricate. For those playing it regular, be advised that tickets go on sale to the general public on February 16.
