Campaign Committee force you to watch ‘Weeds In The Garden’

Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Back when we blasted out an online radio station through this website, we’d occasionally spin a track from Campaign Committee. The Boston hardcore punk crew, maybe the most slept on band in the city, added a furious blitz to our pop-dominated playlists, and songs like “Vote Maybe On Proposition Go Fuck Yourself” and “I Misunderstood The Term Political Party”, both from Campaign Committee’s vicious 2016 EP Let’s Die., gave our local show a much-needed jolt. This Saturday (March 3) they crash The Democracy Center in Cambridge for a benefit for the Massachusetts chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (alongside Martyrs, Sunshine, recent Studio 52‘ers Psychic Weight, and Myocastor Coypus), and we’re spotlighting their recent live video for “Weeds In The Garden” as a way to highlight the gig. The clip was recorded with engineer Sean Cahalin at Converse’s Rubber Tracks Studio, and serves as a nice bit of torture technique for those who refuse to give in. Go full screen, max the volume, push your ugly face up close, and join the committee.
