Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Tashi Dorji live in Cambridge

Editor's Note: There's something all too appropriate about welcoming Godspeed You! Black Emperor back to town as a winter storm is barreling towards the area. But that's what went down March 7 as the very loud Canadian experimental music collective dropped by The Sinclair in Cambridge while Winter Storm Quinn set a course for the Northeast. When we first stepped out that night, there was just a few ambitious gusts of wind racing around town; when we awoke the morning after, the region was covered in snow and ice. We won't dare place credit or blame on Godspeed You! Black Emperor, but we will note the timeline and the thunder heard in between. The band was here to celebrate last year's Luciferian Towers LP, and John Hutchings was inside the Harvard Square venue to document the sights that accompanied the sounds, including a few snaps of opener Tashi Dorji.
