MGMT and Matthew Dear live at The Orpheum in Boston

Editor's Note: They never really went anywhere, but this sure feels like a comeback. Psych-pop duo MGMT released their new LP Little Dark Age back in February, and it has us all dancing like we were when we were "Kids." This past Friday (March 16), Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser brought the record and their arsenal of indie hits, intentional and otherwise, to The Orpheum in Boston, providing us chill locals a bit of musical refuge from the coming St. Patrick's Day weekend storm. There were no bagpipes in the room, as far as we could tell. Ben Stas was inside the famed downtown venue to capture visuals of a visually-striking show, including a few snaps of opener Matthew Dear (an inspired choice for a support act). Scan through Stas' full gallery below.
