Hinds join ‘The Club’ at their neighborhood ski resort, hilarity ensues

There’s only one thing better spending a day skiing and snowboarding, and that’s spending an evening chillaxing at the base lodge drinking hot chocolate and cozying the fuck up next to the fireplace. So as we watch Hinds’ new video for “The Club,” we can’t help but feel all sorts of jealous as the Spanish band takes over some apres living and shows us how its done.

Of course, this video is just another excuse for us to hype this fan-fuckin-tastic jam of theirs, which we first signal boosted a few weeks back when it hit Soundcloud. “The Club” is a buzzy, lo-fi indie rock nugget that wouldn’t sound out of place among The Strokes’ earliest demos, and that guitar work is divine.

“When we wrote ‘The Club’ and first listened to it we couldn’t believe that we hadn’t [written] it before and that we hadn’t been listening to it for years,” Hinds say in a joint statement. “A friend said that it is more Hinds than Hinds themselves, hahah. That’s why we chose putting it as the track 1 of the album. From now on it’s our presentation card.”

That album they speak of is I Don’t Run, Hinds’ forthcoming LP co-produced by Hinds and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor) and due out April 6 via Mom + Pop. In the coming months, Hinds have a slew of North American and European shows on the horizon, including a May 7 appearance at The Sinclair in Cambridge.

Join the club, yo.
