Oh damn Mike D of the Beastie Boys just got added to Boston Calling

If you thought the fantastic lineup of this year’s Boston Calling needed a Beastie Boy, today is your lucky day. As is Sunday, May 27.

The music and arts festival announced that Mike D will be joining this year’s Memorial Day weekend lineup, replacing Bryson Tiller.

Mike D will be dropping a DJ set in Tiller’s slot on the Sunday slate.

Tiller, Boston Calling explains via tweet, has some sort of scheduling conflict. Which is weird, but hey — we all have a lot of things going on. Lineup replacements aren’t necessarily a new thing for Boston Calling, as last year Converge were a late fill-in for Modern Baseball, and Natalie Portman’s “film experience” was postponed and replaced by a stand-up comedy component.

Here’s how the daily lineups shake out for the May 25 to 27 fest, just remember to pretend it says Mike D where it says Bryson Tiller.
