You might say May has a certain “Flo” to it.
We kicked off the month a few weeks back with Florence + the Machine’s new single “Hunger”, which served as the first taste off their upcoming album High As Hope (due June 29). Florence Welch says the song “is about the ways we look for love in things that are perhaps not love, and how attempts to feel less alone can sometimes isolate us more.”
There’s a certain vulnerability in “Hunger,” and now Florence + the Machine will take that one and the rest of the LP out for a late-summer and fall North American tour. Announced today (May 29), the 23-date run kicks off September 8 in Vancouver and wraps October 20 in Minneapolis.
Along the way is an October 12 stop at TD Garden in Boston. Tickets are on sale to the general public starting Friday (June 1) at 10 a.m.
Throughout Flo’s itinerary, there are some very notable names serving as openers, including St. Vincent, Billie Eilish, and Perfume Genius, but no support has been revealed for the Boston date. Fingers crossed on that.
