Last week we were all treated to a surprise new Interpol song — a surprise in that we weren’t exactly expecting it, but also in that it’s quite good. The song is called “The Rover,” and its got a vibrant little bounce to it that recalls their Antics era. Along with the song’s unveiling came word of a new Interpol LP, titled Marauder and due August 24 via Matador Records, as well as a few random live dates.

Well, five days have passed since that news, and a) we’re still bumping “The Rover” like it’s 2004 in this bitch, and b) we now have a full run of Interpol North American tour dates to keep us cozy all summer long.

Relevant to our New England interests is a September 11 show at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, and tickets to that jam go on sale Friday (June 15) at 10 a.m. There’s a pre-sale going on now, so ask that guy you know who looks just like Paul Banks for the secret password because he probably has it. We don’t know it, but we’re sure it’s not “CarlosDRulez” or anything like that.

Peep all the dates below, and come over with “The Rover.”
