Christine and The Queens call your ‘Girlfriend’ on ‘The Tonight Show’

Look we’ll be honest, we are hung the eff up on Christine and The Queens’ new Dâm-Funk collab “Girlfriend.” We spun it at a party Friday night in Cambridge and the chill just oozed out of the speakers. But while we’re ecstatic over the return of a certain Héloïse Letissier, we are eternally bummed she is skipping Boston on her fall North American tour (there’s an open date November 3 between shows in Philadelphia and DC, so maybe there’s hope). With no Christine live show to absorb, we’ll just bathe in the “Girlfriend” versions we have, and the latest comes via a live performance last night (June 12) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Was it any good? Well, at the end, Fallon exclaimed: “Wow oh my goodness! That is how you do it right there!” Yeah, we say that shit, too.
