Anjimile’s timing this summer couldn’t be any more perfect. After being named the Massachusetts winner of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk contest and scoring a slot on on this summer’s Wicked Good Festival, the Boston ambient folk artist has dropped their new album Colors just over a week later. The seven-track LP debuted yesterday (July 8) as the self-described “experimental” followup to their 2016 EP Good Boy. What’s the next major event in the musician’s domino chain reaction of goodness? Their album release show at Industry Lab in Cambridge this Friday (July 13) with Julissa Emile. Familiarize yourself with the new tunes below as Anjimile takes you on a mini-vacation from lead track “Ipswich” to deeper cut “Wakanda.”
